Abstract:

The construction strategy and excavation sequence of soft soil foundation excavation in complexurban environments have a significant impact on the spatial deformation law and construction safety offoundation excavation. Based on the foundation excavation project of a waterside West Bank Park in theCity of Hangzhou, a three⁃dimensional solid nonlinear finite element model was constructed by usingABAQUS numerical analysis software. And the influence of different construction sequences of excavationon its lateral deformation was discussed. A specific construction strategywas formulated in accordance withthe results of the numerical analysis and the actual situation of the project site. The whole process ofexcavation was monitored to evaluate the influence of the excavation method on the deformation of thefoundation excavation in the complex environment. The results indicate that a reasonable partitionexcavation method can significantly reduce the deformation of the foundation excavation, while anunreasonable construction strategywill increase the burden of both deformation control and support axialforce. To reduce the influence of construction on the deformation of the foundation excavation and thesurrounding environment, it is recommended to adopt the methods of partitioned excavation, optimizedconstruction sequence, and reduced exposure time of the foundation excavation. In the construction process, monitoring should be strengthened, and problems should be found and dealt with in time to reduce theinfluence of construction on the deformation of the foundation excavation and the surrounding environment.
