Abstract:

In order to study the main failure modes and influencing factors of soft sandstone and mudstonebedding slopes in northwest Guangxi, combined with the engineering example of the Quantity beddinglandslide in northwest Guangxi, considering the influence of rock thickness, faults, and support methods, multiple numerical models of bedding slopes were established using the discrete element software 3DEC toanalyze the above factors. The research results indicate that the stability of stronglyweathered beddingslopes is poor, and weak structures have a significant impact on the displacement of slopes. Afterexcavation, the sliding body itself remains relatively intact, but its overall displacement is extremelylarge. The thickness of rock layers has a significant impact on the stability of bedding slopes. Under thesqueezing effect, the thinner the thickness of bedding slopes with the same strength, the higher thestability. When treating layered slopes, the support form of “short anchor rods at the top of the slope+long anchor cables on the slope surface+anti slip piles at the foot of the slope” can resist the sliding oflayered slopes to the greatest extent.
