Abstract:

To investigate the influence of the decoupling coefficient on the effectiveness of smooth, surfaceblasting, the Qinling Jiutian Mountain Tunnel project was utilized. Employing ANSYS / LS,DYNA andLSPrepost software, simulations were conducted for blasting processes with decoupling coefficients of1.14, 1.25, 1.43, 1.67, 2.00. The analysis examined changes in effective stress and the evolution ofrock damage. Results indicate that both peak and average effective stress decrease inverselywithincreasing decoupling coefficient. Optimal blasting performance was achieved with a 28mm explosivediameter and a decoupling coefficient of 1.43,while also effectively controlling blasting costs.
