Abstract:

To investigate the road performance of lime, fly ash stabilized recycled aggregates, six mixproportions were designed. Through laboratory tests, the effects of lime, fly ash content, recycledaggregate composition, and curing period on the unconfined compressive strength, flexural strength, andresilient modulus of the mixture were systematically analyzed. The results showed that as the proportion ofrecycled aggregates in the surface layer or base layer increased, the maximum dry density of the mixturedecreased, while the optimal moisture content increased accordingly. Extending the curing period orincreasing the lime, fly ash content significantly improved the unconfined compressive strength, flexuralstrength, and resilient modulus of the mixture. However, increasing the curing temperature weakened itsmechanical properties. The addition of new crushed stone significantly improved the mechanicalproperties and resilient modulus of the lime, fly ash stabilized recycled mixture, which meets therequirements for use in the base layer of general traffic grade roads.
