Application of BIM in Construction Stage for High⁃rise Steel Structure

Abstract:

The high⁃rise steel structure poses a severe challenge to the construction management due to itscomplex shape and the difficulty of working at heights. Based on the Xi’an Silk Road Paradise landmarktower project, this paper systematically studies the application of BIM in the construction of high⁃rise steelstructures. Through the deepening design, the whole process simulation and intelligent constructiontechnology, the problems of low efficiency in the deepening design of spatial curved structure, insufficientinstallation accuracy of special⁃shaped components, and high risk of high⁃altitude operation were solved.The collaborative model deepening work in the deepening design stage can effectively improve the modelrepetition rate. During the construction phase, BIM was used to compare and select the hoisting scheme,and the whole process simulation is conductd,which ensured the structural stability. In the aspect ofintelligent construction, a material tracking platform is built,which integrates three⁃dimensional laserscanning and UAV tilt photography technology to realize the full life cycle management and high⁃precisionpositioning of components. The practice shows that, the application of BIM significantly improves theconstruction quality and management efficiency.
