Abstract:
This paper introduces the technical characteristics and connection construction of prefabricatedassembly piers. The economic comparison of traditional cast-in-place piers, ductile iron steel sleeveprefabricated assembly piers and new steel column foot prefabricated assembly piers is carried out throughengineering examples. The results show that the single column construction period of the new steelcolumn foot prefabricated assembly piers is about 21.62% shorter than that of the ductile iron steel sleeveprefabricated assembly piers, and about 60% shorter than that of the traditional cast-in-place piers. Thesingle column construction cost of the new steel column base prefabricated assembly pier-column is about12.25% lower than that of the nodular cast iron steel sleeve prefabricated assembly pier, and about14.55% lower than that of the traditional cast-in-place pier single column construction cost. Thecomprehensive comparison results show that the new steel column base prefabricated assembly bridge pierhas significant advantages in construction period and cost.
