Abstract:
Surface water and groundwater in the tunnel area of Zhoujiachong Tunnel were sampled, witha focus on analyzing their chemical components and their corrosive effects on concrete structures, toclarify the types and levels of water environmental corrosion in the tunnel area. Based on the influencemechanisms of water environment and water quality on the tunnel lining concrete structure, and referringto relevant specifications and existing research findings, reasonable corrosion evaluation indicators wereselected. The research results show that the surface water and groundwater at most monitoring points inthe tunnel area are slightly corrosive to concrete structures, while groundwater at individual pointsexhibits weakly corrosive pH, moderately to strongly corrosive CO2 , and weakly corrosive HCO-3. Thegroundwater in the tunnel area is classified as strongly corrosive to concrete structures, and the waterenvironment is defined as a strongly corrosive carbonate environment. In combination with engineeringcharacteristics, measures such as developing corrosion-resistant concrete, controlling lining constructionquality, and enhancing tunnel waterproofing and drainage construction have been implemented. Thesemeasures have significantly reduced corrosion in the tunnel lining structure and ensured constructionquality.
