Abstract:

Based on the study of a transfer station in Jinan City, the load⁃bearing mechanism of horizontalpipe curtains was investigated. A three⁃dimensional finite element model of the station main structure andpipe curtain support system was established to analyze the reinforcement effect of the pipe curtain supportin horizontal hole cover method engineering. According to numerical simulation results, the constructionorganization and scheme of horizontal pipe curtains were optimized, and specific construction controlmeasures were proposed. The results show that installing pipe curtains can reduce surface settlement byapproximately 50% in both horizontal and vertical directions. Horizontal pipe curtains form a sealed, rigid support framework around the construction area, enabling them to bear and disperse stratumpressure, effectively controlling stratum settlement during construction, particularly in key disturbedzones during station excavation. This validates the supportive and protective role of pipe curtain structuresin practical construction.
