Abstract:

Rubber concrete, as a key technology for recycling waste rubber (especially waste tires), notonly realizes the harmless treatment of rubber waste but also improves the performance of concrete, whichis an important measure to achieve sustainable development. This paper summarized the current status ofresearch and development on rubber concrete at home and abroad, introduced the basic physical andmechanical properties of rubber concrete and its application in structural components. Additionally, theapplication prospects and seismic performance of rubber concrete in composite structural components wereexplored. The feasibility of rubber concrete research and extension work was summarized to promote thelarge⁃scale application of rubber concrete in the construction industry.
